We are a lean and fast paced development team looking for a JavaScript development specialist to join our effort. We are looking for someone who is passionate about writing quality code and building a quality product. While our team is technical, we are first and foremost creatives taking ownership and pride in the product of our efforts. The ideal candidate would be an exceptional technical talent coupled with passionate creativity, strong problem solving and rational abilities, as well as excellent communication skills. The person to fill this position will work in active collaboration with product owners to shape the Hivemetric application. As such we are seeking an individual who values the opportunity to get in on the ground floor to truly create and innovate.


  • Work with the Technical Team and Product Owners in design of application modules
  • Build and iterate upon application modules.
  • Maintain and expand as needed Hivemetric REST API
  • Build and maintain various third party API integrations.
  • Etc. (while we are looking for a JavaScript engineer, we plan to make use of all talents you have to offer - we pigeonhole no one)


  • Bachelors Degree or 2+ Years Experience in Application or Web Development
  • 3+ years working with Javascript
  • Experience working with Node.js
  • Experience using ReactJS and JSX ( Or a comparable JS view framework Angular, Vue.js, or Meteor)
  • Experience with Redux or Flux
  • Experience with NoSQL Databases
  • Experience with Finite State Machines and event driven architecture
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Practices
  • Knowledge of Git and version control best practices
  • Knowledge of Linux hosting environments a plus
  • Habitually writes clean and reusable code
  • Supreme attention to detail
  • Must have the right attitude (the special sauce)
